jonathan warner - art director, motion graphics & design

Jonathan comes from a traditional graphic design background. He graduated with honors from the five-year College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati. Jonathan has designed: environmental signage and print brochures for Agnew Moyer Smith (now Thoughtform) in Pittsburgh; book jackets and print brochures for Carbone Smolan Agency in New York; websites and video game packaging for Studio Archetype (formerly Clement Mok Design and later a part of Sapient) in San Francisco; and commercial spots and movie titles for Imaginary Forces in Los Angeles. Most recently, Jonathan designed for over 8 years at Turner Duckworth, a top branding studio with offices in San Francisco and London.

Jonathan was first introduced to (and immediately fell in love with) motion graphics over 10 years ago. He was working for Clement Mok at Studio Archetype, creating miniscule animated GIFs and an interactive slalom ski game for the Nagano Winter Olympics website. Later, Jonathan delved deeper into the world of motion graphics with Kyle Cooper at Imaginary Forces, working on television spots and movie titles for films like "Dead Man On Campus". While creating and managing brands at Turner Duckworth, Jonathan also created motion graphics with a distinctive brand focus.

Nowadays, Jonathan seeks to create branded motion by combining his passions for branding design and motion graphics. Clients know their companies best. So, the best designs usually come by fully understanding a design problem from the client's perspective. Answering that problem with a solution that is useful, unique, and exciting helps build a memorable brand while keeping clients (and designers) happy.
