jonathan hinman - executive producer

Jonathan Hinman serves as Executive Producer of Phoenix Edit, Effects & Design, and has been a Senior Producer and Editor with the company since 1997. A commercial editor and post producer for twelve years, he brings both creative and technical strengths to his position.

Before joining Phoenix, he was on a European sojourn that included a year in Budapest, where he worked as an Art Director for DMB&B and directed spots for Proctor & Gamble.

Among his past awards and acclaims, two UC Cal Sports spots that Jonathan edited for agency Black Rocket were honored among best commercials of the year in the 2000 AICP Show. The spots "Exam" and "Funeral" are now part of a permanent collection at New York's Museum of Modern Art representing The Art and Technique of the American Television Commercial. "Funeral" was also awarded a Silver Lion at Cannes. Other spots he has edited for Black Rocket and Butler, Shine & Stern have won Clio Awards and honors from Shoot, Communication Arts, and network television’s “World’s Funniest Commercials” show.

He is a 1991 honors graduate of Tufts University where he studied International Relations, and is a former theater producer and designer in New York and San Francisco.
