Phoenix Editorial & Designs has been producing engaging creative content, from commercials to HD interactive media campaigns, through its creative direction, editing and design since 1991.

Starting out as an alliance of creative editors acclaimed by San Francisco’s top advertising agencies, Phoenix has provided story-driven, award-winning editing for spots for Yahoo, HP, Coke, Porsche, Sega, HBO, and Disney. Our spots have aired in Super Bowls and the FIFA World Cup, and have taken home CLIO’s, ANDY’s, Emmy’s, Cannes Lions, Gold EFFIE’s, a D&AD Silver, and the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials for the Musco Olives campaign directed by Bob Kerstetter.

Directors such as Kinka Usher, Baker Smith, Bob Kerstetter, Erich Joiner, Michael Bay, Leslie Dektor, Justin Reardon, Alison MacLean, Peter Care, Jeff Goodby, and Joe Public are among those whose spots have been cut by Phoenix editors.

Since Phoenix opened its design and visual effects division--Phoenix Designs--in 2005, clients such as Apple, Adobe and Microsoft have chosen Phoenix creative direction to conceive, design, and produce their HD product launch videos and web spots.

Phoenix effects and design artists have also produced compelling motion graphics and high-impact visual effects for McDonalds, Sprite, HP, EA, Sega, HBO Video, Palm, AT&T, Adidas and Yahoo.

Technically, Phoenix combines the dynamics of a small creative shop with infrastructure and expertise to produce the most technically challenging visual content. The company’s creatives are supported by a highly-experienced production staff and a state-of-the-art HD pipeline that includes Avid Media Composer & Final Cut Pro HD editing, motion graphics, Maya for CG/3D modeling and animation, HD Flame for 3D effects and compositing, and HD Smoke for color correction and finishing.
